Funnily enough, I know his work well. When I first graduated, I worked for an NHS arts charity that improved the healthcare environments of Devon: one of the main photographic exhibitions we had in Exeter's general Hospital was this series of photos by James. I only met him very briefly just before his untimely death and he seemed a lovely man. his images used to constantly make those walking the corridors happy and engaged. Especially the older client user, which is no surprise.
Thanks. I know there is a rural idyll evoked in much of this work. But there is also a social documentary aesthetic and interesting take on the pastoral that I've not put my finger on quite yet.

Maybe Caitlin and I could come if you recommend it James. I must say I wasn't awfully taken with the artists work but to be fair I only saw a glimpse..
